i thought the hellsing album was awesome, all 20 something songs on it were badass, im wondering what others think about it and also need some suggestions on other albums to buy...

Hm.. well seeing as how you said you've only heard the 20-something, you do know there's actually 2 OSTs for a total of 37 tracks between them, right?
20 on the first one and 17 on the second (though I think there might be some hidden tracks on the second one, I can't remember right now ).
As for other soundtracks to try out, if you like rock, you definitely should try the FLCL OSTs. And while it's not all rock, I like a few of the pieces on Naruto as well.

The Ghost in the Shell: SAC OSTs are really nice as well. While I'm not a big fan of the anime, the OSTs are awesome (Yoko Kanno, btw).

Gungrave & Trigun OST's mix along with Hellsing music rather nicely. Of course, if you're looking for something a little different from Hellsing, look no further then Cowboy Bebop. All highly recommended.

I suggest S-CRY-ed's soundtracks, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex's are also great. I'd also recomend the .hack//SIGN and Noir oSTs composed by Yuki Kajiura.
