According to ANN (the site you're on now), there are 13 episodes.

Before asking more questions like this, please at least try to search the Encyclopedia -- it's not hard to find what you're looking for (everything is listed alphabetically, and everything has a designation, so you can tell the difference between Ninja Scroll TV and Ninja Scroll the Movie).
It was 13 episodes because that's how many episodes were produced. There were no plans for any additional episodes, and so it ran its full length and ended. That's... pretty much it. |
