Does anyone know if Eerie Queerie is going to be animated, although to be rather honest I kinda doubt any American company will pick it up because of the rather, um, blatant title.

I know. I think they should have kept the original title.

If you know that the title is actually American, then does it really make sence that it would keep an anime version from being released in the US? Not really.

"Ghost!" was the Japanese title for Eerie Queerie.

Yes, I know, but if you know the Japanese title is Ghost, then you should have also known that the US title was Eerie Queerie. So when you say

Then my question is how could that title possibly prevent an American company from picking up an animated version when the name Eerie Queerie is American to begin with?

Well, they might think that Ghost! has a small fan base. I for one would buy the anime if they released it. Also, not that many manga that have overt gay themes have been animated. Although Gravitation is the only one I know of to have been animated.
