I was checking a few fansub locations earlier tonight (if you must know, I was trying to find the first episode of MariMite's second season), and I noticed that a couple torrents for the live action Boogiepop & Others movie were taken down. The word "LICENSED" was listed in place of the torrent's information, but the exact company that nabbed it was never mentioned. Perchance, does anybody have any information on which company picked it up? Or any information on the approximate release date?

And I couldn't think of a better company to have gotten it. Very good news. |

It's a prequel to Phantom based on the Kouhei Kadono's first novel. It's really good, but the special effects are mostly really cheesy and they did some unwanted alterations to Boogiepop's costume that make it look...silly (veil, complete bodysuit under the mantle...ew). If you enjoyed Phantom, it's most certainly recommended.
