Moyashimon? Fantastic!
I loved the anime so I definitely want to read the manga.

Yay! I was hoping someone would bring over Moyashimon, and I'm glad Del Rey got it. They do a nice job with their manga.
Now I hope someone brings over the anime. It's a cute short series at only 11 eps, so will make a nice series boxset.
Edit: episode count.

Awesome. Glad that Del Rey picked Moyashimon up.
Does this mean we can expect a new seinen license around this time every year?

Eleven episodes, actually.

Fixed. Forgot it was shorter. Been a while since I finished that one.

Er, maybe I'm being really picky, but is it fair to credit RAN as the creator of Mao-chan when they only made a manga version of Ken Akamatsu's anime creation? I guess I'm just playing semantics, ( ) they're the writer and artist, but not the creator.
That aside I'm glad to see Moyashimon licensed and hope that an anime license will come soon as well. Amefurashi sounds interesting and I really like Atsushi Suzumi's art style and use of color so I might give it a shot. Maid Senki, eh, maybe not, not a big maid fan, we'll see.

Moyashimon??? If you can stomach the sight of someone drinking the rotting entrails of a dead seabird through its anus then you're a stronger man than I am.

Yes! Moyashimon! Oh how I love that series, which crosses my two loves (manga and microbiology) into one.

That only happens once, and the later episodes make up for it in *ahem* visual aesthetics. I mean, yeah, Tamaki has to determine a cow's fertility in episode 5 or 6 which means he has to stuff his arm more than elbow deep up its anus, but at least be glad that the producers aren't able to transmit smell through TV. Still, later episodes make the icky parts totally worthwhile.

Maid War Chronicles?
Sounds like a genderbended version of Fushigi Yugi to me,but it could be interesting.
I might give it a shot.

No, it's a not-quite-romantic comedy.

Moyashimon! Just as I predicted. Now Funimation will license the anime as soon as the Japanese will let them to make it a tie-in.
Where does all this leave Kadokawa USA? When will they announce their plans...

I'd prefer to see the anime licensed (but odds are good for FUNimation) but I'm certaintly going to pick the Moyashimon manga up if I see it.

And then they have the guts to ask why people aren't buying Anime/Manga. Stop licensing crap will you?
Hoo boy, can't wait till I get my hands on these. First we got Japanese "comedy" at it's best, Moyashimon. Followed by the wonders of stiffy pleasing Maid wars and something which looks like a borderline pedo show, can't wait indeed

I don't know why you think Moyashimon is "crap" since you didn't bother to expand on it, but I quite like Moyashimon, as it's different than usual standard fare. It's cute, it has some light comedy, it deals with a different age range of characters, and it's a little educational.
I don't know anything about the other two since I haven't heard of them, but Moyashimon is far from "crap."
