i heard about an unreleased 27th episode of cowboy bebop that was aired on tv only. is this true?

Nope, but there's no reason to do so. It was created specifically as a "recap" episode because the initial run of Cowboy Bebop was only 13 episodes long, and then it moved to a satellite station and expanded to 26 episodes. Session XX was (er... was it... TV Tokyo?) the original broadcaster's way of saying, "Here's what you missed out on". I don't believe it has any new footage, music or dialogue. |

A recap episode? That really kinda sounds somewhat messed up, especially after how episode 26 ends. =/
It's like an encore kick to the gut after the end. |

Well, episode 26 wasn't aired during that run. The original run was this: 2- Stray Dog Strut 3- Honky Tonk Woman 7- Heavy Metal Queen 8- Waltz for Venus 9- Jamming with Edward 10- Ganymede Elegy 11- Toys in the Attic 12- Jupiter Jazz, pt 1 13- Jupiter Jazz, pt 2 14-Bohemian Rhapsody 15- My Funny Valentine 18- Speak Like a Child XX- Session XX |
