I thought power would have been restored by now. Oh well, I just hope everyone in Houston is safe. Hurricane cleanups are a bitch.

Is this really news-worthy (this is already the second time)? I mean, you usually don't list the comic stores that were affected by floods.

A major anime distributor has to put day-to-day operations on hold for a week, if not longer. That's newsworthy.

No, but this is not just a comic store, and this is not just a flood.

They're also really expensive to recover from according to the articles I've been reading. I always assumed they weren't cheap but I never knew how much gets spent just getting a large city back in business. Texas has some funds but not enough to cover everything that needs to be done on a regular basis, and the Federal assistance is nice but it's all on credit so... Anyway, I hope ADV gets back up and running soon and that they're back on their feet in a few years bringing out more rare gems for those of us who don't spend much time watching the mainstream stuff.

Actually, I think Detroit got hit by a Mayor Hurricane, but we just got over it when he was forced form office
LOL braves
But I can see why the repetitive news might be tiring, but out of this ADV should show a new license so all of the air around them is not negative.

In all honesty ann's reporting quality has dropped a lot in just the past month. I think we need more news from Japan not just the United States industry and bands getting back together(though that was helpful). This site needs to work its way up so we can call it the online New Type. Seriously ann get your act together.
Its sad to see ADV still with out power.

Maybe it's just been a slow news month in Japan. Have there been stories out of Japan lately on which ANN's failed to report?
As for ADV, I'm glad to see that folks down there are getting back on their feet and that the company doesn't seem to have suffered any serious setbacks from the storm.

I am hoping that the ADV Films Staff Members will be going back to work next week until the power is going to back on.

I'm not sure what you're trying to express here. My post was in response to GeneralArrow.

That's mostly because of the ineptitude of the Puerto Rican workforce as a whole. There's a startling difference in the response from the people and government of Puerto Rico and that of Houston. I've seen the difference myself.
If only the Puerto Rican government had a new type of leadership, then maybe it would go in the right direction. There's hope yet in this year's election. Fortuño, FTW! |
^w00t and here I thought I was alone ^___^. Statehood FTW!

Well, I always believed in the permanent union between the US and PR, but I'm definitely going to vote the BUM (AAV) and his party out this election, hopefully the complicated electoral situation in the Island won't permit the bastard to keep the Governorship.

Especially since you can't touch anything until the insurance adjusters have a look first, and if there is only one adjuster per area, it's "take a number, we'll get to you whenever."
