I have this odd hunch that Gatchaman will be released only in box sets and only subbed, that seems to be something they like to do with their classics. If it's true then that's good news seeing as how they've been keeping the prices low and the releases steady on thos sets.

Hopefully, ADV will remaster the Gatchaman episodes, as Rhino and Sandy Frank Entertainment did practically nothing to them when they released them as part of the Battle of the Planets DVDs (even though they still looked much better than the BOTP and G-Force versions).

Actually, the original Gatchaman episodes (at least most of them) have been available on R1 since 2001. They were part of the bonus features on the Battle of the Planets DVDs by Rhino.

*glares at Peace Maker* T.T WHERE'S LOKI. How dare ADV license Peacemaker without Loki! Ah well, all of summer is still ahead.
Glad to see Fumokku finally licensed.

Y'know, it just dawned on me that they also got the original Gatchaman, which I used to watch on Cartoon Network years ago as G-Force. Good deal, I've been wanting to see that again ever since they cancelled it.

Are you saying they're gonna re-dub the series?

You sure it might not be Gatchaman 2(aka Eagle Riders)? I wouldn't think Rhino would want to give up a lucrative anime property like that.

I don't think Rhino have managed to release a third of Gatchaman and even if they released all the eps available to them at the time, there would be 20 missing eps because Rhino only had access to the ones used for BotP(85 eps)

Rhino only released 24 episodes of BOTP (24 episodes of Gatchaman).

Gatchaman finally gets the American "royal treatment" that it so deserves, courtesy of ADV. once again another great licensing move. to quote their old slogan; "DO IT NOW.."!
