Ok so I was browsing Netflix and found this.
http://www.netflix.com/Search?ff2_submit.x=0&ff2_submit.y=0&v1=Ah+My+Goddess There seems to be more than one according to this... one that came out in ... 1993??? So... waht's with that? I'm gonna guess it's a mix up. Right...? |

This is more of a general question. Anyways the 1993 one are the OVAs.

There's no mix up, it's exactly as you see it. As Clodus said, the 1993 one is an OVA, 6 episodes long. It covers the beginning of the story, and has an original ending. The 2005/2006 series are a remake. The 2000 movie is set a couple of years after the Belldandy and Keiichi first meet, and can stand alone (assuming you know the characters, more or less).

Actually the OVA is only 5 episodes (I just checked my disks).

So it is. I just assumed six because that's a more common number for OVAs than five, and it's been a while since I watched it.
