So that's why it didn't make any sense when I first read vol 1! It's definitely true that you have to page back and forth to get an idea of what is going on and even that doesn't help much.

Thanks for explaining about the Japanese publishers as well.

I have to say I agree with every point made in this review, especially the messy layouts. This title goes toward the bottom of my long list of yaoi/bl manga I've read.

I'm pretty sure I've come across the prequel to this somewhere - and no, it wasn't great either.

But definitely an A+ for the Review. Thanks Casey.

I quite like her artwork, myself. Admittedly though, whenever I see her name on a title I always just assume it will be pretty explicit (don't get me wrong, that doesn't stop me from reading. I'm just sayin'...), and somewhat light on plot. I was considering getting this before but the fact that it'll never be finished always held me back (not to mention, I've heard that "dropped-in-the-middle-of-the-story" complaint before too). I wonder if there's any possibility of some of her other series being licensed posthumously.

Was her death ever confirmed? All I ever heard is that is was mentioned in one blog post, and everyone else around the world used that as their source.

At any rate, this has to be one of the worst BL manga to come to the US. The first volume was so confusing I had no idea what was going on, and I'd read the prequel series! It didn't help that my copy had 40 pages out of order, individually, and several pages missing.

While I enjoy Toujou's art and stories for their eroticism (she does some of the hottest sex out there IMO), if anyone wants to try BL, I'd suggest avoiding this.
