What do you think is going to be next big hit in America? I don't just mean with Anime fans but as a hit that will have the same popularity animes like dbz had and also will have adults and/or teens watching it instead of mainly kids.

Many people are hyping that Fullmetal Alchemist is the next big hit. I haven't seen it yet, but from what I've heard, I can't wait till it finally appears in CN.

Naruto. Once it gets licensed and thrown on the air, that is. It helps that it's like DBZ with ninjas to begin with (which isn't a bad thing. I love Naruto).
I'm not sure Tokyo Mew Mew has what it takes to be the next Sailor Moon. For one thing, Sailor Moon ran on US television for years, not to mention there were hundreds of episodes made. TMM is good, but I don't think it could ever hit the popularity that Sailor Moon did.

Agreed. Not only is Naruto guaranteed to attract the remnants of Dragon Ball Z's fanbase, but it's already proven to have wide enough appeal to draw in people who typically couldn't care less about the shounen fighting genre (myself, for example, as well as several of my friends).

Naruto will become popular no matter what... BUT if they chop it up like Pokemon or YuGiOh, I may go postal on the licence holder... UNLESS they release Uncut and unaltered DVDs! and a sweet Box to go along with it!

This Naruto show better be good. I don't know anything about it, but all I've been reading is, "If Naruto was a woman I would **** it in the ***."

Well One Piece is already gonna be aired this fall. There are already a lot of popular Shows with idiotic characters. I think most people think that stupid characters are funny. For example, Patrick in Spongebob is popular because of how stupid he is and how Spongebob still follows his advice.

Actually,if any show is going to attract the remnants of DBZ' fanbase,it's going to be One Piece.
Naruto,if anything, will attract the Inuyasha fanbase. That's because Naruto would end up on Adult Swim.

I didn't know that! That's cool. I hope Naruto airs sometime soon, too.

Naruto hasn't been licensed yet. By the way, 4kids is the dub company doing One piece.

I think it's exactly 200.
Anyway, I'm not sure what exactly qualifies a show to be the next Sailor Moon. I mean, until about 1998-9, it was drowning in obscurity along with Dragonball Z. However, Ted Turner and friends were able to save them, thanks probably in part to the popularity of Pokémon. So, I guess, according to me, the next DBZ and SM have to be sleepers. L337 N1NJ4 Naruto and One Piece are popular now and will probably have an immediate impact on the market. I think a good sleeper would be Full Moon wo Sagashite, if it ever comes over.
However, we must all recognize one thing: We're no better at this than the suits who get paid to do this are, if not worse. After all, they can blow it, too. It's all basically a crapshoot.
