Well, aside from Gundam SEED being released Stateside, I havn't heard of anything else regardging Gundam this year.
For the 20th anniversery (1999), they made the live action movie, "G-Saviour". Perhapes they will make another one at the 30th or 40th?
By then, the special effects would be ALOT better, even though the effects in the movie where great (Story was lackluster).
Anyways, happy 25th, Gundam!

Stateside there's the release of SEED, Zeta, & F-91. In Japan...well there was a rumoured SEED sequel in the works, but I have no idea if it's due in 2004 or if it's still even being made.
It should also be noted that 2004 is the 50th anniversary of Godzilla, so...I think the significantly bigger (popularity-wise) Japanese cultural icon kinda stole Gundam's spotlight.

I sure hope not. G-Saviour was just plain horrible. It was like a bad epiosde of Babylon 5 with about ten minutes of Mobile Suit action at the end. Not the best way to celebrate your anniversarry.

I think I saw an old thread talking about a new Gundam show in 2005. I didn't actually bother to look at it though, because I thought it might've been talking about SEED. However, I think it was dated after SEED already came out.
Oooh, speculation is so exciting!

Chris Moore? Why, would that by any chance happen to be yours truly? Yes, it would!
Anything special? Well, later this year Sunrise will be releasing a Zeta Gundam movie compliation (just like they released the 0079 compilation way back when). They also plan to be giving Gundam SEED the same treatment.
And on a side note... the newsperson spelled "anniversary" wrong in the title... heh...

Gee thanks...now I feel old. LOL
Gundam is definately in its own class of cultural icons. I still have to credit Gundam for getting me turned onto anime. Every now and then I will rewatch any of the Gundam series I own just for the fun of it!
