So, it was actually in the public light a couple of years ago, but now they're assuring us that this WILL happen. Still, pretty nice, because the show is pretty fun to watch.

Oh my God...You guys wanna know what sucks? I never saw this anime, and I didn't think it was going to be that good. [It was on Spike and I just had no interest at the time.] I thought it was all hype, but it guess it was really good huh? Suckkksss

I liked Afro Samurai and I think it's easy to make a live-action version that will satisfy both the fans and those who have never heard about the show. Not like in the case of EVA or Akira live-actions. for example. It's a show about a black dude with a katana, a huge hairdo and a bad attitude. Can't see how it WON'T be great.

Although I wasnt a fan of the anime (its kinda like they tried to make it too cool and forgot to give it any kind of depth) I think a live action version will be pretty enertaining Im a big samurai slasher fan so even if the story is as flat and nonexisten as the anime at least we'll het to see sam jackson slice n dice some random extras for a couple hrs (I wonder if Tarantino will have anything to do with this ex producer maybe?)
I pray that neither of them see the light of day. |

The series was basically all style and no substance, but if that's what you're looking for then Afro Samurai is the show for you.
Oh I hope Akira does.

I liked Jumper, and it would have been exponentionally better if Jackson hadn't been in it. I'm sorry, but he can't seem to play anything except 'angry black man' which he pioneered in Die Hard 3, aside from his brief stint as an 'angry black Jedi Master'.
