I believe everyone here would be familiar with the theme "Non-ending Anime". Popular titles would include Detective Conan, One Piece and Bleach. I wonder how far the US licensed DVDs have gone to for these titles. I live in Malaysia so some of them can be bought off-shelf and are licensed copies for Malaysia, Singapore Hong Kong and most prolly Taiwan.
We currently have One Piece DVDs subbed until episode 353. They took Hong Kong subs from episodes 1 - 280+ (can't remember the number but I know it's somewhere there) and from there on, they did the subs themselves and achieved wonders. Wonder where are the DVDs from the licensed US releases are at now for One Piece?
For Naruto and Bleach, subs were from Hong Kong till around episode 100+ and from then on, self made and differed according to different producers (all are still licensed producers). As for the longest reigning title, Detective Conan, they stopped subbing at episode 190+ and they restarted at episode 480+. I wonder if the US releases did cover all those from episodes 200 to 480.

Ooh, a grab-bag question. Let's see...
--I don't know if you've heard the full tale of One Piece's situation in the US, but in case you haven't, to make a long story short, it was originally licensed and distributed by 4Kids, a very kid-friendly company, in a horribly edited, dub-only release. Thankfully, FUNimation, a respectable licensing company, rescued the series, and they've begun releasing box sets of the show in uncut, dual-audio form. Right now, only the first 13 episodes and movie 8 (the Arabasta recap movie) are available on DVD, but more 13-episode sets should soon follow in the coming months. In addition, episodes 144-167 of FUNi's dub aired on US TV (continuing on from where the 4Kids dub finished), and I believe additional episodes have aired and will air in Australia to the end of the Skypeia arc.
--Naruto is being released in both edited-for-TV, dub-only single volumes and uncut, dual-audio 13-episode sets by VIZ Media. The dub-only releases seem to be up to 114, while the uncut box sets are up to 120. The TV broadcast of the series is somewhere in the 170s, I believe. They've also licensed the first two movies, though I think the second is still in pre-orders.
--Bleach is being released in both single volume and season sets, all completely uncut and dual-audio, by VIZ. The single volumes seem to be up to episode 49, while the box sets are up to 41 at the moment. The series' US television broadcast is currently up to episode 71 as of this weekend. The series' first movie was also licensed and should be out on DVD at some point in the near future.
--I'm not really sure what the situation with Detective Conan (or Case Closed, as it's known in the US) is, since its licensor (FUNimation) is set to re-release what they already have in box sets and continue on from there. As best as I can tell, they made it up to episode 85 or so on their original release. It's also been airing on FUNi's own television network, but I have no idea what episodes have been shown, or if they're premiering new ones there. I think FUNi also has a few of the movies.
Hope that's all useful to you.

Cool...Thks for those info.....Well might be out of the topic but I wonder if any of you guys here can foretell when would any of those One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, and Case Closed would end? These shows seemed endless to me as each arc brings in new stories and they can keep on creating new arcs. As for another type of never ending anime would be those coming out in seasons, typically Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Weirdly, the end of one season brings another 100+ episode season to a start.
I hate these stuffs as someone should have done other anime this way, particularly Groove Adventure Rave. I don't know if you guys agree with me but Rave ended in a good 'hanging' way. They were just introduced with the new villains and the show ended. I wish there was a 2nd season or so to continue it.

That's something I really couldn't say. There was a recent article that had a quote from Detective Conan's author stating that he had the ending of the series already worked out in his head, but there's no telling when that will come. I don't think that either Naruto or Bleach is necessarily close to being finished, though I don't think either of their authors has said anything specifically. I do know from some friends that One Piece's manga is essentially around the halfway point of the story or so; Oda will still be writing that for years to come, and I'm sure it'll continue to be diligently animated.

The 2nd Naruto movie is coming out on July 29, and the third one is (reportedly) coming out October 11.
As for ending, OP does feel like it's somewhat past the halfpoint. Naruto, however, is definitely beginning to have an "endgame" feel to it, and a lot of fans believe it will end around chapter 500, which was Kishimoto's initial aim. No idea on Bleach, I'm not fully caught up with it.
As for Case Closed, Funimation has said they've got at least 5 season boxsets will come out, so you'll get at least 130 episodes of the show.

Thks again for the valuable info. Well you guys might have some other non ending anime (in seasons or in episodes) you wanna talk about, feel free. My next question would be whether the fans would be so loyal to such long anime like Case Closed and One Piece. For a fan sub viewer, I don't even think you can find the whole set together but well I don't know about others.

Yeah I'm starting to get that "it's almost over" feeling. Bleach on the other hand tends to bore me because it has too many pointless characters latley (even compared to naruto)
