So awhile ago I saw this little short anime called Clamp in Wonderland and I thought cute and I wondered what it was and what is was from. So I found out it was a special short type thing. But I was wondering, why we don't get to see more of them? I would think that they would make nice extras on dvds here and that most fans would enjoy them so why aren't they available?

Because they require a seperate license, which for their running time is outrageously expensive.

Oooh...is that Miyuki-chan in Wonderland? I read the manga and it was cute, so I was wondering if the anime was any good. I guess I'll check it out.

These use to be also referred to as 'music videos'. Wink

nope. Miyuki-Chan is different. Clamp In Wonderland has all the Clamp characters at the time together.

CLAMP in Wonderland features pretty much all of CLAMP's creations up to 1994, and the song, believe it or not, is actually sung by one of the CLAMP girls, or at least that's what I'm told everwhere I look it up. I think it was... Nanase Ohkawa.

I'm surprised now to see it not in the encyclopedia.

Anyway, CLAMP in Wonderland isn't the only CLAMP music video. There's one to X, featuring a song by the J-rock group X-Japan, one to WISH, and another to CLOVER, though I haven't seen the clover one yet. Anyone know where I can find the Cover one?

They sold the music videos on vhs and laser disc a long time ago. It'd be nice if a company here could get them all and release them on dvd.

::EDIT:: Oh yeah, I just remembered what happened with the clover music video. It was schedualed to be released with the first CCS movie as a little short before the music video, but they took it out on the last minute, and it was never released, and they still haven't released it in any other form, vhs, laser disc, ect. Thats why when you watch the original Japanese trailers for the first CCS movie, you see at the end of it a little note with "CLOVER" in it, explaining that if you see the movie in theaters, you'll see the music video.

I bet. The shorter something is short, and popular, it's price is going to go up. Shorter stuff means a smaller number of cels versus a tv series. Clamp in Wonderland was about... 3 minutes, and featured pretty much the only animated incarnate for a lot of Clamp titles. I would LOVE to get her hands on a cel of the X Characters from that, or the Rayearth girls on Tokyo Tower, or the snow princess, or Miyuki-chan, or the Clamp Campus Detectives with the Rayearth girls... yeah. Hard for a Clamp fan not to like something in that video.
