I wanted to know if anyone can tell me what happened to Real Bout High School vol 6? I've noticed that the Tokyopop website has this volume listed, but the title is greyed out and you can't click on it for information. The manga and anime have been out for quite a while now, but i haven't seen any news as to what's up with the last volume.
Any info will be apreciated, thanks |

It looks like they've been releasing volumes of that manga fairly far apart, last one will be on the 11th of this month, and the one before that was on october 22nd. Other long titles have volumes greyed out i.e. GTO, and I interperet this as meaning they haven't gotten far enough into it to be posting information, like previews, or the plot. They also might not have a release date or cover or anything. So there would be no point in wasting there bandwith with a page for a volume of a manga they don't have a cover, preview pages, or plot for. So instead of putting up nothing, they wait till it's closer to a release date, which is still probablly months away, and then they put up stuff.

Actually volume 5 came out last year.
So i don't understand why it's been a whole year since vol 5 came out and there is no news or mention of the 6th volume coming out. ****EDIT***** Just as a note, all of the other volumes came out between 2 to 4 months apart. |

Yeah, they've been "finished" for awhile now - when the last of Planet Ladder came out Tokyopop said that they were waiting on new volumes. But they haven't said anything about Real Bout.

According to an E-mail I recieved from Tokyopop not long ago,
Vol.6,which was already released in Japan,will be released in the US.Around July,if I'm not mistaken. I've also been told that RBHS is an ongoing series in Japan,which means they'll probably be working on Vol. 7 as we speak. |

Oh wow, i thought this series had been finished a long time ago. Hmm... if this really is on-going i think i might actually look forward to seeing more. Althougth the anime still irks me. I can't stand how they decided to add demons in place of all of the humor <just like they did with the Samuri Deeper Kyo anime

Well, volume 6 being scheduled for June/July is correct. It's in April Previews, so it's official. But 6 is the final volume, which was published in Japan last September, IIRC. That's also why it has a larger page count (some 260/270 pages). There won't be any further volumes, AFAIK. ~Althalus |
