EVA question (spoiler mentioned)

I just finished watching the NGE series (haven't seen the movies yet, so don't spoil please), and I have a question about Episode 24, the one with the 17th Angel.

When the angel descends into dogma, he keeps mentioned lillum, or something like that. In the DVD extras, it says Lillith is the second angel, which was thought to be Adam. So, was he saying Lillith, or was there also a similar term that he was using to refer to humans? I watched it twice but either my sound was messed up or I'm just having trouble hearing.
If anyone can give me an answer I'd appreciate it.

Also, was Adam then the "giant of light", or was that something completely different?

Great series, but it left lots of questions open Sad

I think I can answer this, though I am by no means an Eva expert.

He's referring to humanity; the idea being that the Angel is a child of Adam, and humanity is a child of Lillith, so he calls them Lillim.

hehe, you are indeed correct. I just went and bought the Death & Rebirth DVD, and it comes chock full of answers. Adam is the giant of light, as I thought, and you had the correct answer about "Lillin". Haven't watched the movie yet (though it looks like one big recap), but the extras are pretty cool.

It gets in to Lillith and Adam in the back of NGE Graphic Novel 6. It's too long to post. *L*
