This is an Oh My Goddess type forum thing.
If any Goddess from the OMG series could be "real" (which is probably really nerdy to say) which one would it be for you, and why? Of course this means having a relationship too, I guess... Personally, (probably most people's answer) I'd say Belldandy. She's really pure and uhhh... super nice. Like the perfect girl... well for me at least. So anyway, most people probably think this is a [edit: lame] topic, but I figured I'd at least ask so somebody would get to have fun telling their opinion. ....ahh... you know what? Just go ahead and list any anime girl that you'd have a relationship with. (i know this is probably a replica of many old topics, but, do it if you want to.)

Any character at all you say? Well then i'd have to go with Asuka from evangelion, I can't think of a funner person to go hang out with at the beach or down at the mall. Granted that she had a tendancy to be a bit conceited at times during the series, but I found her overwhelming self confidence to be one of her more endearing traits. Red haired German with lots of spunk, sounds like the ingredients for some explosive fun.

Skuld is a bit of a mascot for some people in the programming community. If you pay attention to the OVA episodes where she is debugging the System you have a good idea of what our jobs like. So I would kind of like to know her - much more in common. On the other hand I would like to know a girl that is like Belldandy.

I think I'd be Urd. She's the party one at least from what I've seen. She just does whatever she wants to do, and that is very cool.

haha yes. Asuka would be very interesting, that is if you could be her friend. Ha... she was always really popular at school and probably really picky with her friends. But it's true she'd be a load of fun. I can't imagine ever having a dull moment with her at your side.
Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. She was SO devoted... and eating all the icecream too  . I always thought she was cool myself also. I'm into alot of computer stuff (some small non-important editing). In fact, I have a Skuld figure right on top of my monitor!

I've seen some OMG figures at Suncoast. They seem to be pretty good quality. In fact, they have some that I don't recognize (meaning that the character doesn't appear in any of the volumes between 1 and 17). In addition to Urd and Skuld, I’ve seen a goddess with a star on her forehead (Hild) and a girl that looks a lot like Skuld (Sigel).

Well, I got mine off of eBay. I ordered it with an Urd (guarding my anime shelf). "They" (a common word thrown around that never pinpoints on anyone specific) have made like 4 or 5 different figure types... let's see, that I know of for sure, they have like 3 different versions of all 3 characters (even with their own special releases... like white clothes instead of colored) and they have released some of those extra characters (as mentioned)... the series I got was by a completely different company (I think)... and are only "okay" quality-wise. I enjoy them though. They each come with a circular "magic cirle" (or whatever you call that junk) stand that connects together when you have all 3 characters, and they all "float" with a clear plastic rod that holds them up (Urd's is placed in the rear ).

I have the Series 3 Belldandy, with Series 3 Skuld and Urd on the way from an Ebay auction that I won. I did some searching around on the net and I found this site that shows all of the different series.

Yes. That's the reason why i didn't recognize her. I didn't think she would be a major character and i never paid attention to her ever having a name. (Plus i've only read volume 17 once, so naturally i've forgotten most of what happend... guess i'll have to re-read it ^_~) |

Okay... I took a look at the site (not that it matters anymore, i guess) and the Skuld and Urd that I have are the ones that say "Ah! My Goddess series - [character name]". I guess it doesn't have a number. Thanks for that site too, by the way. That site has mad low prices for those figs. I needed somewhere to get them easier (since I'm trying to collect all of them... not the white ones). Thankya.

I think it would be cool to hang out with Haruko. It sure would be crazy, and you could get headaches. But she's so funny and it seems you would never be bored. I'd just want her as a friend, not housemaid or anything. Your house would always be a mess.

Eh... I don't think spoiler tags are needed for that. He didn't go "in depth" enough about the characters, just a basic "who they are", and I don't think who they are qualifies as a twist, since no mystery as to whom these characters are is established in the plot prior to the revelation. If the relationship between Hild and Urd had been ambiguous for ten volumes, that would be a spoiler, but she's introduced right off the bat as Urd's mother, so it's not. |
