Hi All,
I am new to all of this and newly discovered the world of "ANIME" and I am a huge fan but I need to find out what or where is the most trusted site to buy anime online or any available to go to in Canada. Recommendations anyone? |

hello
you may introduce yourself here: animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39486 then if you're looking for info about buying anime check out the retail section. |

Buying anime in Canada just sucks ass. I buy from rightstuf.com via mail order. It takes a whole 4-5 weeks but its worth saving 2x the amount of money. I don't recommend using a credit card cause you will have interest and extra fees up the ass with these credit companies.

I've found that your best bet is to just order from www.rightstuf.com or www.animecornerstore.com. For me in Vancouver, stuff takes about 2 - 3 weeks to arrive. You're going to pay almost half what it costs to buy from within Canada though. You may want to watch out for getting charged duty and taxes for importing from the US too. I rarely get charged anything more that the odd $5 handling fee or maybe sales tax. Thats only on very big orders though. Still, I can't promise it's the same in other provinces so if you would tell us where you're located maybe someone could give you more accurate information.
If getting it quickly is a big issue to you, there are sites in Canada. www.amazon.ca has a decent selection of anime. You will definitely pay a lot more than with US sites though. |

I'd say rightstuff.com and bestbuy.com

Another good place is deepdiscount.com. It's not soley anime and it might not have everything (I haven't had a problem though), but they only sell brand new, legit dvds at pretty good prices. Shipping is also free, but it might take a, average of two of weeks for you're shippment to get to you.

I have ordered twice from www.rightstuf.com. Both times I have had to pay shipping even though I qualified for their "free shipping". Most recent order was $20 for a $300 order. Shipping time was pretty fast though, a little over 1 week.
www.bestbuy.ca has some ok prices, depends on the title. Shipping is fast and cheap, I got my order < 1 week, and $2 per disc/bundle. |

May want to look in the actual stickied post on the top of this forum that pretty much covers reviews for online retailer sites.
