Shion no Ou is a pretty damn good murder mystery. I'd buy it.

The idea that those titles listed being licensed would be love, especially Mononoke. Thank you FCC. Smile

Naw-aw.

They can pitch it. But how far can it be thown? Remember Geneon's catalogue and why its distribution sputtered.

Shion no Ou I would LOVE to see released here in the US... I hope someone picks it up and does a quick subtitled full box release of the whole series... I would hate to wait several years for it to come out in drips and drabs...

I've always wondered why no one has licensed any Kitaro series in the US. Hakaba no Kitaro would be a great introduction for the US.

HA! Why did I have a feeling Hakaba no Kitaro would be the one to make it overseas first? All those properties would be excellent candidates for licensed anime (Mononoke being especially drool worthy), but, I've been waiting a LONG time for ANY Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro anime or manga to be licensed. Especially with the recent remake, it would be fresh and easier for new people to jump into. But Hakaba, being based on the original material is definitely more preferable and should be a lot easier to swallow than the primarily for kids Ge Ge Ge series. But hopefully with this move, the other entries in this classic franchise will follow! What can I say? I'm a sucker when it comes to anything dealing with Youkai! And Kitaro is definitely the reigning overlord in that regard!

But FCC should be commended for shopping all these excellent titles. I'll be there day 1 for sure! Very Happy

Yay! Go, go, go, Mononoke! Very Happy I was afraid this title would be ignored, so I'm quite happy that Mononoke is at least being pitched for liscencing in the United States. I hope someone catches it. I love the "Goblin Cat" arc of Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales. I got it after what happened with Geneon and I've watched the dub and sub, which have both mesmorized and touched me! I was especially touched by the relationship between spoiler[that poor woman and the cat]. It's a keeper-- something I can watch over and over again. Great horror with a lot of strong human emotions. And the art is definitely tasty eye-candy, especially since it's partly inspired by ukiyo-e prints.

Les Miserables would be great to see too, even though it mainly focuses on Cosette. At least Jean Valjean is still in it.
