I'll get right to the point:
Alot of the DC Public Libraries want to show Anime and want a great turnout as well. What suggestions would you the anime fans have for the DC public on how to get a good turnout and what anime to show.
Note:Both the Public Libraries and Myself do not have Divx anime capibility so that rules out the whole anime that is currently being shown in Japan not that we don't want to of course.

Is minor profanity allowed? Cowboy Bebop doesn't have alot, and is a good dub, and overall a great anime.

In episode 12 or 13, I remember it spoiler[shows Gren (a male) in the shower but has female breasts because of the drug Vicious gave him. It does show the breasts in the unedited version, but otherwise I think you'll be ok with Cowboy Bebop]

Actually...spoiler[if I remember right, it's not Vicious that gives him the drug. Vicious has him arrested as a traitor or something, and as an inmate he's submitted to military-funded medical experiments. The experiments warp his hormones, and voila: natural manboobs.]

Sorry to detract from your great man-boob conversation, but I have an idea. Inuyasha, I believe, would be a good choice. It has action to bring in the guys, and romance to bring in the women. It would appeal to everyone. The only problem I could see is that since it's been on CN, a lot of people may have already seen it. But maybe another title in with those qualities is available?

But there's always some conveniently placed strand of hair or odd camera angle blocking it. Twisted Evil

Um...no...I seem to remember some of it being right out there in the open...granted, with that typical anime self-censorship trick of "no details." But still...full-on nudity, nonetheless.

There's a simple, yet time-consuming way to get past DivX restrictions...

1)Download all DivX files needed
2)Burn said files to Video CDs
3)If you can't play Video CDs, copy them to VHS by plugging your DVD player into a VCR. VCDs have no copyright restrictions built in, so you can do this and the quality will be a little bit above something recorded from TV on a VCR.

Since fansubs are a legal gray area, I doubt any public library would touch them. Further, if anime is to be shown by the library it has to be legit, i.e. express written consent by the liscencer.
