Can anyone place the One Piece movies, chronologically compared to the TV episodes?

Highlight the section below:
First movie is before Sanji Joins the crew.
Second movie takes place after Sanji when they are on the Grand Line but before they meet Vivi (I know it doesn't make sense, but bare with me)
Third one takes pace after they meet Chopper, but doesn't have Vivi
Fourth movie takes place after the Alabasta arc.

Damn! I am only at episode 17 so I don't know when those things are going to happened. Any chance that movie 1 takes place after the the defeat of captain Kuro and Usopp joins the crew?

It's not like watching the movies before seeing part of the series isn't good for the enjoyment you'll get out of it.
As a matter of fact I watched movie 1 and 2 before seeing any of the series, and those movies were exactly what got me into watching it =)
The stories of the movies don't intertwine with the stories of the episodes (except for the appearing characters) so there's no need to hold back because of that.

In other words you're saying they are like the DBZ movies where they are just a side story that never really fits in with the series. Hmm, well i guess that's nice to hear since i was holding off on seeing any of them since i was worried that they would spoil the rest of the show. But now i guess i'll get them the next chance i get.

Yes, the movie are stand alone stories. They have nothing to do with the anime or manga and were not written by Oda.
Kamiboy: the first movie does take place after Captain Kuro is defeated.
