Nice. I really like the Persona universe, but Trinity Soul was pretty bland. I haven't seen any of this, so I gotta check it out. If I like it I'll probably go for the bluray.

Cool. Here's hoping the show is good enough to actually warrant a purchase. Since they're probably going to dub this, I hope they keep the same cast as the game (I doubt they will, though).

Awesome news but I want to know what is going on with a dub. I would pretty much only bother seeing it with the original dub cast from the game.
If they do indeed dub it I would bet there is a high chance they will get that cast back. I mean they worked with BangZoom for the Rozen Maiden OVA dub and got the original cast back. And While BangZoom isn't the studio that dubbed the games they do have access to all the same actors so it would be rather easy for Sentai to do it right. I mean they know the importance of keeping a cast original. They went through the trouble of getting back the Ah! My Goddess cast for season 2 before Funi licensed rescued it and they did it again for Rozen Maiden. I'm sure there are more examples that I can't remember off the top of my head.
I wonder more if they will bother dubbing it at all. The fact that it will be coming to Blu-ray seems to indicate a yes as they normally don't put out Blu-rays unless they have a dub to go along with it. I'm sure they will say something about the dub of the show sometime soon. They put out their shows much quicker then Funi do and on top of that they have to know how much a fav favorite the original games cast was. They would kinda be shooting themselves in the foot if they don't get the original cast back. But another question would be do they know of the game and the dub cast it had. If they are unaware of the importance to fans of keeping that cast they would not go through the trouble. But if they are aware I would think they would be stupid to ignore it. Well I guess time will tell.

Oh goody, Zombie ADV.
Totally the people I want to have their dirty, unwashed, hangnail ridden hands on Persona 4 the Animation.

Again, 99% that it's not going to have the same cast.
Once more, this news = not worth giving a shit over.

Yep, this. Sentai is Texas based, and none of the voice actors of the original are in the Texas area. Laura Bailey is Texas born so maybe they can get her to come out there, but other than that, very unlikely.

I'm sorry I didn't know you can see the future and disregard everything else I wrote about the possibility of said dub cast returning being better then 0%. I would say it's probably closer to 50/50. If you don't have solid proof then don't spout off at the mouth as if everything you speak is fact because until Sentai says something it isn't. I'm not saying I'm right and I'm not saying your wrong. I'm simply saying that assuming off that bat that they will recast when they have been known in the past to care about cast consistency is pretty ignorant.

While not 99%, its more like 90%. Unless they're willing to shell out the cash and pay the voice actors extra bonuses to come all the way out to Texas, it won't be happening. Its not very financially viable for a struggling company like Sentai.

They'd better damned well get the original cast. Definitely wont be purchasing otherwise.
Of course, that's assuming the show is even any good.

Wow it seems as if no one reads a entire post before commenting on it. I mentioned that Sentai worked with BANG ZOOM to reunite the cast of Rozen Maiden for a 2 episode OVA. Considering they were willing to do that it would seem logical they would be willing to do the same for a dub of a very popular game with a much beloved cast. Again while Bang Zoom didn't work on the game they have access to all the same actors and could easily do said dub. Or Sentai could just work with the studio that did the games. Again I'm not trying to say this is going to happen. I'm just saying it's a decent possibility. I mean everyone who discounts this news is basically looking for a reason to not care and not buy it when they have no concrete info.
@ Caption Insult for no reason.
How am i not being realistic. Think of it this way. Had sentai announced they licensed the Rozen Maiden OVA before they announced that box set as a whole NO ONE would have thought they would have gone through the trouble of getting back that shows original cast. Yet they did. That was 2 measly episodes. Persona 4 is gonna be 25. It would make tons of sense to them to appease the fans and try to get said cast back. I'm not being unrealistic at all. However you certainly are being unreasonable.

Well i doubt they have the money to send this to Bang Zoom like they did with Wild Arms & Arc The Lad back in the day so odds are that we'll see another in-house dub directed by Steven Foster coming our way.

K. I said 90% chance it won't happen, so I'm leaving open the possibility of something very unlikely like that. But be realistic here, the chances are very very slim.

Hooray, we get a level-up from "no dub, don't care" to "no dub with the game English dub cast, don't care". Because there just can never be enough reasons on our "instantly dismiss an anime series" checklist.
Supposing that "multiple sources" means it will have a subtitled simulcast accessible from somewhere in North America, I wonder whether the sub would be worth watching?
And while I don't care intently one way or the other, such a sub would actually have the original VA cast.
