What are the Japanese anime styles adapted by American cartoons? American cartoons seem to be adapting styles from Japanese anime. What are examples of the styles that they copied? I would appreciate people's answers.

I don't believe there's a name for it but typical anime gets its style from Osamu Tezuka's style which has formed the popular styles used today, big eyes, small mouth, etc. Things like Teen Titans, Totally Spies (which is French) or Code Lyoko (which is also French) if you're looking for examples as to what it looks like. The only American example I can think of at the moment is Teen Titans.

Also, anime comes in various different styles so clarification would help you get a clearer answer.

I don't think I've ever heard of an actual terminology to label anime "styles." Usually, people just coin them after the person(s) or studio that worked on the original that inspired the "adaptation." I know the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender admit to influences from Miyazaki, and that Teen Titans and The Boondocks are both animated by Madhouse, if you can see the subtleties in those.

Well theres a number of them, like Teen Titans and as said before Code Lyoko and Totally Spies do have some anime elements to them but they are both originally French shows. Also Megas XLR had a kind of anime feel to it. and Both the Boondocks and Avatar are both animated in Japan or Korea, I forget. Theres also Kappa Mickey which is a really stupid show.

Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi comes to mind. Since it's based in a J pop band and the character style is vaguely anime-ish, with very big and colourful eyes and matching hair colours to boot. I don't particularly think it is all that great but it does have a certain anime-like look.

The creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender say that they were inspired by Miyazaki movies and Gainax. You could say Big O was inspired by Batman since several of the animators that worked on Batman did Big O, which explains the very similar art styles.

And Tezuka, of course, picked up the style from North American animation such as Disney and Betty Boop.

Definitely Boondocks and Avatar... o.O...
I mean the creators of both of these just put alot of anime related impressions in their animation, it's really noticeable
