Poor girl has it bad, and at such a young age.
Not sure whether to feel sorry for her or the three blokes.

My question is why would a Japanese salaryman be at a con here? I think his character was a trick character meant to confuse us all! I would love to know what he was saying behind Nina's back though.....

It's probably rather rude.

I think he is basically saying "what's up with that girl?"
Ahh good times. Mao Yenrai would have laughed.

He wasn't. The con was over. He just happened to be a travelling businessman that was staying at the hotel the con took place in.

"na-nanda ano ko?"
LOVE IT!
Seems as though Nina may have gone insane. I wonder what the next comics will be about?

Is that the exact translation?
How come I never get like that when I go to cons? I'm already out of energy after 5 hours and at that point, I just want to go home

Just an information. The last 3 or 4 "NEXT" Buttons are not hyperlinked, further does the "LAST" Button not link to the last comic strip.
But great comic strip again this week!

Similar for me. By the time the con's over, I'm glad it's over...at least for a few hours.
The epic moment is walking into a McDonald's after a con and screaming "PROTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIN!!!!" TwT

This week's episode was especially funny because of something similar I saw at DragonCon about 5 years ago. I was walking through the lobby of the Atlanta Hilton - which was one of the overflow hotels so it had a mixture of con attendees and regular guests - when I spotted a small group of camera-toting anime fans. The fans had cornered a couple of uniformed JAL flight attendants, under the impression that they were cosplaying characters from some military or police series, and were trying to convince the very confused and embarrassed young ladies to pose for pictures. My Japanese language skills are meager, but they knew some English as well. I was able to explain the misunderstanding, and that while the fans might be a bit odd they meant no harm and were not some sort of dangerous perverts. The flight attendants were good sports about the whole thing, and wound up posing for a couple of pictures with the group.

AWA 7 was at the Sheraton Convention Center near Hartsfield (ATL) Airport.
We had to split the facilty with the Southeastern Fabrics and Dyes Trade Association Convention.
It made for some interesting lines at the restrooms. Salesman-Salesman-Businessman-COO-type lady-cat girl-angel-Wolfwood.
