Great news for fans of classic and/or horror manga: American Indy publisher IDW had decided to get into manga, and their first release is horror master Kazuo Umezu's Reptilia. The details can be read here. I haven't really heard much about this title, but the more Umezu the better. Hopefully it sells well and encourages IDW to license other titles.
EDIT: Here's a small preview from the IDW site. No dialogue but Umezu's frantic storytelling style seems to be in full force. I'm diggin' Ashley Wood's cover too (hopefully it will pull in some of his fans). |

Wow, great news! I didn't expect this at all. And it's coming out soon. I really enjoyed the Drifting Classroom, so I'm looking forward to this. Maybe we can see more soon, like Fourteen or Left Hand of God, Right Hand of the Devil?

Frickin' sweet! Another Umezu title? I love The Drifting Classroom and now that another one of his titles is coming out I may try hard to get a copy! After all, Umezu is an amazing writer and artist.

Nice to see that Umezu can pull off facial expressions that aren't "terrified" or "indifference."
