Here's the first five episodes in the list...Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong ?

EDITED: 02. Return of the Screws
EDITED: 03. Running Scared
EDITED: 04. The Legendary Medafighter
EDITED: 05. The Old Man and The Sea Monster
Then it says...
ERR> EDITED: 01. Stung By a Medabee
EDITED: 02. Return of the Screws

Judging from the instructions it seems you can only list edited titles if you know what the original title was. It doesn't seem edits can be submited independently.
BTW, it's Metabee, not Medabee.

Correct.
But I'm going to suggest to Dan that this be changed.

For esp 127-132 of Inuyasha I translated most of it with the exception of the words Kokoro no kizu(i think it means wound of the heart but im not 100% sure)and as for Cho Kyukai I have no idea if that is a character name or not.

I'm having the same problem. I get the ERR> but there's nothing wrong. At least not according to the format they give me. What should I do? This is what I'm typing:
"#<1>. <The Opera House Murders>"

it should be in this format:
09. (2003-10-07) Official English Title JP: Official Japanese Title REM: A remark regarding this episode, if it was broadcast in an unusual fashion
if you don't know something, you can drop it from the entry.. thus, if you don't know the date of broadcast, you can simply write:
01. The Opera House Murders
and it'll still be accepted. you need to include leading 0s.. so if it's a 100 episode series, you should use 001. if it's a 1000 episode series (i wonder if anyone has all the doraemon episode titles listed somewhere...) it would be 0001.

It still tells me it doesn't follow the format. I've tried the extra zero (I know there's at least eleven books) with the little <> and without and it's still not taking them. I've done the little "" too. I've tried...
"<01>. <Opera House Murders>"
"<01>, <Opera House Murders>"
<01>. <Opera House Murders>
01. Opera House Murders
01.Opera House Murders
01,Opera House Murders
01, Opera House Murders
001 Opera House Murders
001.Opera House Murders
001,Opera House Murders
001. Opera House Murders
001, Opera House Murders
"001.Opera House Murders"
"001.Opera House Murders"
"<001>. <Opera House Murders>"
"<001>. <Opera House Murders>"
"01 Opera House Murders"
"01". "Opera House Murders"
"01", "Opera House Murders"
"01". "Opera House Murders"
And just about every combination I could come up with, but it still won't take it. Is there something else I'm doing wrong??? *completely confused and utterly lost*

Ok, I'll forgive you for trying > or < or " characters (even though there's no such thing in the 4 examples) because apparently, even what should have worked didn't work for you. The 4th and 11th examples you gave have the correct format, and they work for me. If it doesn't work for you, the only thing I'm left with is: what browser do you use? Maybe it's some weird browser bug when posting data...

Ouch, only the fourth and eleventh? *blushes* Now I feel utterly dense. The format it gives me has the little <> and "" though. I'm using Internet Explorer... not quite sure which number though... Where can I find out what number it is? It's not on one of the taskbars or anything.
I can try loading it at the library, but they use Internet Explorer too... What should I do?! *panicking*

Ok, I think I know what's your problem.
Ezibah wrote: | The format it gives me has the little <> and "" though. |
The format USED to include the little <> (which is an old programmer convention to say "insert info here"), but that just confused a lot of people so I removed it. Right now, below the input box you can see this
Quote: | Format: "number. [(air date)] title [JP:title] [REM:remark] [EDITED:number. [(air date)] [title] [REM:remark]]"
brackets indicate optional information |
If you're seeing something different from this, it means your browser is accessing that page through a time portal that leads to an older version of ANN.
Either that or your browser/proxy is caching a very olde version of that page.
