I don't know much about the series seeing as I still haven't seen it... but that is one nice looking figure. The sense of movement and the detail work look REALLY good (they look pretty darn good when I click on the full-size image and zoom to actual size, which actually makes the figure in the picture slightly bigger than "8~9 inch", from eyeballing it), not to mention the costume is pretty interesting too (I think I must really be a sucker for lacing and buttons and complex little details like that, but those boots and coat are nifty-looking).
The only drawback is that insane price tag. Nearly $100? WHAT? Ouch. I think twice (read: take twice as long to lose my willpower over it) when any given figure is more than $20, let alone five times that! (No surprise, I'm sure, that at least half of my figures are Gatchapon figures or that not many are over 5 or 6 inches... those are the ones I can afford with regularity, not these gorgeous but heart-attack-inducingly priced ones. Then again, Misato Katsuragi seems to look good no matter how small the fig is, so I'm not exactly complaining... except maybe how easy it is to lose limbs off those things if they aren't glued, but when you get an import like that for $5, what do you really expect, right?) I sure hope a few months (or years, if it comes to that) down the road that I can find this on the last day at a con or something for closer to $45 or so. If I had the money, and it was for that much, and I saw it, I would SO get it.
