Hello, i'm somewhat new to the whole anime scene in terms of buying dvds. I was just wondering if there is a site where you can purchase them or local stores? I'm from canada so i assume online sites would be better.
Thanks for the help, i'm looking forward to the claymore series. |

Right now The Rightstuf International is having a sale going on right now, 10 DVDs for $50 or 25 DVDs for $100. I've made several orders from them, they would be one of the most reliable places to order from.

There are usually options for Canadian buyers. If you wish to pay an arm and leg there is always HMV, the nice thing is they can order titles though. Best Buy Future Shop, Sunrise, CD Plus, Music World, blockbuster all carry a small selection of anime most of the time. Other than that its town/city specific mom and pop stores, usual place/s would be comic shops, rental places, and if you're fortunate enough a shop dedicated to anime and manga. Online site are good but remember anything that crosses the border will have a COD on it, which usually raises the price additional to the exchange rate.

Well, ordering online sure is a good option. There's always Sunrise, Best Buy and actually there might be some anime at wal-mart.
Since you're canadian, I wonder, where do you live? I might know the right spot if you're from Montreal or somewhere near it. We have this local store that has tons of anime and Asian live-action flicks for sale AND a huge rental selection. They also can order all the stuff you need and have some manga, soundtracks and other items in stock. It's called "Marché Clandestin", don't worry about the French name, their stuff's in english and their staff is bilingual. Here's the website http://www.mcanime.com/ |
