...with manga?
Damn, the one store in my town that had a half decent selection of titles has closed. (It was brought by the company that owns the largest book store in my town, ran for a while and Friday I noticed it had been boarded up)
That basically leaves one Tokypop rotating stand across my entire town. Thank you Amazon . However after a bit of a struggle I was able to find some editions of school rumble, and .Hack. Also with just two exceptions I am found to be the only one looking at manga- the other times middle aged men were looking at them. One walked off, while the other read a novel for about five minutes before leaving
Any other people from England or Britain here? How is it for you?
(In HMV there does appear to be quite a few anime titles though)

Where I am all anime and manga is considered porn and is as such in the 'appropriate' section section.
Despite this both are becoming easier to get a hold of as Waterstones now has a small section and I often go in to get Negima.
Check out Play.com right now as at the moment they have a massive sale on anime (not sure about manga) with titles going from £3.99 a DVD with free postage. (as opposed to what...£19.99 a DVD on Amazon...£14.99 on play.com normally)

I hear Brighton is *the* place to go for copious amounts of (shockingly cheap) manga.

Great...that'll only take 6 hours and about 4 different trains with 'scheduled' stops in such wonderful places as 'A bush overlooking a quarry'. Which only only cost the sum of £67.50...on the cheapest possible ticket arrangement. I love English trains...

The book shops in my town carry only a smattering of manga titles; the collection I have at home would take up more shelf space in the store than their paltry selections. Ever since the comic shop closed in my town, I buy all my manga online, primarily from amazon, importing from TFAW.com, & occasionally eBay for out-of-print stuff.

I think you meant to ask Truered this, right?
I did live in Surrey for many years, but alas, no longer. Woe. *sniff*

I'm kind of on a border of about three tiny places.
I just state I live in Tunbridge Wells, which you probably haven't heard of. Urban dictionary has it down to a tee:
"Unsurprisingly dull place. Highlights include the "I'm sorry to bother you" man, pram pushin pikey teens, and a high quantity of very dubious looking trannies."
*Hopes one of fellow posters doesn't point out existence of vast manga store ten minutes away from town, making me look like prat*

That basically leaves one Tokypop rotating stand across my entire town. Thank you Amazon . However after a bit of a struggle I was able to find some editions of school rumble, and .Hack. And again, you think that's tough?
3 hour drive to the (closest) Borders, people!! Am I ranting to myself on this?!
Ah, well, we all have hardships...

Oh, you live in Puerto Rico? Wow, that's gotta stink as far as manga availability goes. I don't envy you. And though I do want to move back to England, if the manga situation is that bad there, I may reconsider....

It's not too hard to get ahold of manga in the UK. The amount in Waterstones seems to be increasing recently with a few good titles available, and Forbidden Planet tends to have a very large selection. Failing that, it's easy to get it from online stores like amazon, play, up1, etc.
