I'm not sure if anyone else uses the European download website Softpedia, but I've found that it actually hosts a good deal of legitimate downloads. When searching around I realized that it had a download for the Dragon Ball Online client, with a warning that it was only in Korean. Now, it is 2 GB in size, so I could never hope to download it. Indeed, anything that big has to be bloatware. However, I was wondering if that means that people outside of Korea could play it if they spoke Korean. I was under the impression that it was only released for the Korean and ROC markets, so there wouldn't really be a way for a North American or European player to pay for the service. Am I incorrect?

I'm familiar with the difficulty of signing up for Netmarble, since all players must be registered citizens of the Republic of Korea. Since there's a global service for Japanese and North American players of Netmarble-connected games, I technically could sign up for an account. However, I'm guessing that it wouldn't work with Dragon Ball Online?

I kinda know a little bit about korean mmo's, but for most of them (including this one) you need a korean social security number to play. But the game has been released in taiwan with no such restriction.
Here is the site

Does that mean that North American players can legally play the game? I'm assuming that being a release for the Taiwan ROC, the client would be written in Traditional Chinese in the same manner as that web link. That being said, it would still be a bit of a ridiculous download at that size. Laughing

Is this game actually any good? I remember getting quite excited about the premise but not sure just how well it could be executed.

I'm genuinely not sure. It looks to be rather strange to be honest, considering that it has a playable race based off Majin Buu. I was definitely pleased by the fact that Namekians are playable. If one could create Saiyan characters, it would be just about perfect to me.

Hilariously, Human Spiritualists can work their way up to 'Turtle Hermit' from what I understand.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. From what I've gotten from this thread and my research, it's free to play, but you have to be a citizen of the Republic of Korea. However, international users to my understanding can play the Chinese-language version of the game developed for the Taiwanese market. However, the download for the client is very large.
