Ronny (FREDDY VS. JASON) Yu had originally been attached to direct, but the trade reveals that now Chris (KISS OF THE DRAGON) Nahon is at the helm. Bill Kong, who produced Yu’s FEARLESS as well as CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON, takes on the same job here. This sucks. I was really looking forward to seeing his take on this anime. Not only that, but this was originally his idea. |

The actual article. That's disappointing, but it may have been something up with Ron or whatever, there's no details. But anyway, if the project is moving along, then that's fine with me.

Dang. I just saw the director's cut of Fearless two times a couple of weeks ago and loved it. I think it would've been great to see the tragic resonance of Huo Yuan Jia get translated over into Saya's character. Oh well, at least it's the same producer, so that should be able to account for something. Still looking forward to Ji-hyun Jun in a miniskirt
