'Lo folks. I may be a newb here, but sure ain't a newb to anime. More to the point, who here has seen this brilliant masterpiece, maybe the best anime to hit foreign countries? Well, if you haven't, I'd suggest you do so. It's theologically discerning, all you religious types, so watch out, but as many elements are taken from the bible, it's also about the progression of a boy, Shinji. It's my favorite anime, and I suggest some of you anime lovers who haven't seen it ************ buy it.

I've seen it (as if you couldn't tell), and I love it almost as much as you do (maybe I should change my name to #4 or 5 Evafan), but unlike you (based souly on your implications...sorry about my spelling), I've come to relizie it, although great, is not without it's flaws (although, what is), but I love it to death anyway (god I love Rei).

how's he advocating piracy? did i miss something?
anyways i like it, but it gets hella annoying, and it suffers from the biggest puss of a main character ever. i especially hate howspoiler[they have two freaking episodes focusing on Shinji's whole personal journey where he finally proclaims he'll be strong, but then all through End Of Evangelion, he just sits there cowering in the corner like a little bitch while Asuka does all the dirty work. WHAT WAS THE FREAKING POINT?] |

Yes, I too wish to know how he's advocating piracy since in his first post he tells people to go out and buy it. Sounds like capitalism to me, then again some people do tend to call it piracy. Like when talking about the RIAA, I always seem to feel like I got my treasure stolen by a mean pirate when I buy a CD these days, but that's just their prices.

Then why doesn't it say the post has been edited? Is there something wrong with the forum that it's not saying that anymore? Oh well, I'll agree though, it was a good series, if a bit hard on the brain near the end. Good animation and all, but the twist near the end taking it away from the whole "mecha" aspect to a "psyche" aspect was kinda throwing.

Im watching it now. My friend has it on VHS and loaned them to me. I am on tape 5 now and think EVA is very very good. I think Misato, Rei, and Asuka(?) are major anime hotties(I love plug suits) I like the show very much. I cant decide if I like Raxhephon or EVA better. There is so much to like in both shows. I can see where people would say Raxhephon is a EVA ripoff. I find them similar but different. |

It doesn't say that because Tempest edited it (I say Tempest, because I'm asuming that only (s)he and Cookie can edit post) the only time you see the words [EDIT:post changed] (or something like that) is when Cookie edits it. |

You DO know that EoE was an alternate ending, right? I love the way Eva ended, I don't see why people hate it so much. |

One reason is: they just dont understand it.
I for one, didn't understand it at first and didn't understand it. But watched it a few more times after. I have a good understanding of it now and love both endings. |

I don't think that's it. Whenever one of them make an edit they always leave a little note saying why. Either Saimeks edited it him/her self, or someone else edited it (which I doubt). As for why the edit message didn't come up, dunno, it doesn't always. php forums can be a bit tempermental like that, I've run a few of them in the past Emerje. |
