I can't seem to find a news announcement anywhere but I've noticed that both DVD Pacific and TRSI have a Ranma 1/2: Digital Dojo boxset listed as being released on 1/16/07 for around $50.
Anyone know anything about this?
I've been thinking of getting Ranma 1/2 for a while but if it's being released at a lower price I'll wait a bit rather than hunt about for the old box sets.

Well, since they've re-released the OVA and movie boxsets early this year, it makes sense for them to do so for the TV sets. However, there was no news announcement.

Wow, just looked this up. I didn't find any news but it is a new release and it looks like it is going to be loads cheaper than the original box sets. Not only that but it doesn't look like they changed anything, even the box looks almost the same.
If you want Ranma, I'd say definitley wait for the new re-releases. Unless you see a store liquidating any remaining sets they have I don't see the prices on the original sets beating the new ones.
The lack of news is weird though, even the Viz site or store doesn't have this available, though most other stores already show it available for pre-order.

The Ranma sets have always been very expensive so it's great to see cheaper re-releases.
You can get it as cheap as $31 at Dvd Pacific or $33 at DeepDiscountDvd which are fantastic prices.
