Wait, so are we going to get any confirmation on this? Because this is a big surprise if a lesser well-known company picked up the US license for these 2 manga titles.

I mean, listings on Amazon are pretty definitive proof that they are indeed happening. I imagine Kana was planning on announcing them at an upcoming con, or something.

Anyway, going off of the ~600-page books that are listed, both of these will likely be 3-in-1 omnibuses, so City Hunter should take 12 (with the last one being a 2-in-1, since it was only 35 volumes long) & Cat's Eye would just be 6 (as that was only 18 volumes long). Happy to see these releases happen in English.

Cat's Eye, I get, because it's short and female-friendly. City Hunter, OTOH, is the complete opposite. Methinks they might as well have licensed the Angel Heart manga, instead. But yeah, crossing my fingers that we're gonna get the uncensored CH this time, and it won't be just 'ports' of previous translations like the One Peace Shin Chan which retained the omitted train child molester joke from the CMX edition of vol.10.

I am literally hyperventilating right now. I have wanted these in English for SOOO long. No one was more upset than I was when Gutsoon went out of business because I was sure that was our final shot at getting them. I am so happy to see Hojo finally getting the due he deserves and his work getting rediscovered.

Off to put in my pre-orders!!

Ryo: Well, technically, it's only what Raijin got through. If you want all of it, you have to support it to the end.
