Daiki Yamashita did a fantastic job as Noel and made his many antics compelling to watch. Alma was also plenty of fun. The animation was better than I expected from the PV too, and the persistent snake imagery worked well in showing Noel's ploys. Settingwise, I appreciate how it's more industrial than you'd expect. It's a shame that we won't get a second season for a good while due to a lack of source material.

Yeah, the anime covered novels 1-2, and the author hasn't released anything new since Vol 4. Some people who looked through the author's Twitter claim the author has been working on Vol 5 all this while, although they've been delayed by the story's length, and supervising the manga and anime adaptations. |
