Yeah, writing's been on the wall for a few months now, but this is the announcement I've been dreading. I sure hope the anime completes the story, the second half is so good!

It probably only has a chapter or two left. I’ll miss it, and it’s cast of lovable characters.

Since the editor-in-chief changed it was clear they given the manga limited amount of episodes to conclude, hence final arc was clearly sped up a lot. Still all the core elements were satisfying, I'm just sad that it wasn't polished like it could have been.

Given they said something similar for the penultimate chapter for Yozakura Family it feels really safe to say that next chapter is the end of the series. Hopefully the anime will get to cover everything, but with it having over 150 chapters worth of content to cover and the fact it would finish multiple years after it finished I'm not thrilled with the chances.

It is crazy how with Hero and JJK already finish and Yozakura and this now wrapping up Jump is now down 4 of its longer running series in half a year. Sure, the latter two aren't huge names, but losing that many established series so close is always going to be a bit rough. With this the longest running non-One Piece (and HxH) series in the magazine is Sakamoto Days at under 200 chapters which is crazy. It is about to hit that milestone, as are three other series that are close behind, so Jump still has a number solidly of established series going this is probably going to be another big transition year as it looks to fill these shoes. Ichi the Witch will probably be one and I'm curious what other new series will fill in the other slots.
