This does not bode well.

I was really enjoying this one so I'm disappointed to learn there's already production issues.

Speculation on whether this is intentional because they had a double release and needed to fill a slot?

A lot of people have already pointed this out but i will point it out again.

Jp has got to improve working conditions for there animators, the old model just aint working anymore and less people are applying and animators can't keep up the surge in demand, they have to reach a limit as these animation issues have increase dramatically over the past few years in particular.

IF it keeps up, most of the major studios will probably end up under in another decade and be forced to outsource as there wont be anyone left to animate anything.

You are wrong, they showed two episodes in one time slot so they make special.

Disappointing, but at least they are running something other than a standard recrap episode in its place. Don't really have a choice... how can you recrap only three episodes? I wonder if CR will run it.

According to my sister who’s an animator, MAPPA was already looking for a lot of western freelance animators for their run of the Attack on Titan anime. That said, that was the hellscape that is MAPPA, who probably ranks the worst in terms of overworking animators.

EDIT: Actually, anime studios have been outsourcing a lot for longer, as Toei straight up has a Filipino studio since at least Dragon Ball Super’s run, if not earlier.

Almost every single studio that exists outsources a heavy workload. Same goes for the idea of hiring western animators, a lot of studios are doing it. It has never been a MAPPA-exclusive move at all.
