Lasting less than a year is pretty much what you'd expect out of a reality show winner in this kind of thing honestly. Not always how this sort of works but it's pretty much also how it usually has gone when the same concept's been tried for something like wrestling or music, you sign the person for the contractual minimum amount of time then drop them when you can because this kind of format isn't actually catered to creating real success stories.
Edit: Nevermind, forgot it's 2025 now.

Um this ran for just under 2 years which is actually a pretty strong run. Especially when I think of famous mangaka starting up another series after their big one ends and not even lasting this long.

Yeah, it's been a really good series and has resolved most of it's conflicts story-wise. Not everything needs to run for even 4-5 years.

Honestly I just forgot what year it was and was in 2024 mode, my mistake.

Well, that's a bummer. I thought maybe at best the story itself only had about 10-15 chapters of content in it before it reached it's conclusion, but this is a bit abrupt.
