Ah yes.... this one. I have read a bit of the manga (and stopped soon after), I hope that the anime will be a bit less about the characters wanting to do naughty things with the poor cat/behemoth.

Urk. I plan to sample this one later today when it comes out, but I didn't realize that "behemoth fanservice" was a thing. Oh, Japan... Normally, I wouldn't bother with a title like this, but I'm on vacay and it's not like I've ever used my time productively in the past, so I sure as hell ain't gonna start now.

Well, I really hope that you like fanservice Blood. I just saw the first episode and it has made very clear that the show will be going all in on the fanservice. Due to that it is not for me since I need something besides booba like an interesting story or characters to be invested.

Agreed. I can't get into a show unless it delves into meaty thematic territory with lots of intellectual heft. Complex and nuanced characterization Yep, don't try to interest me with images of full, bursting, shimmering breasts and tight, succulent bodies. Couldn't care less. Not interested. Yuck.

I am not saying that you should not enjoy those shimmering breasts Blood (I know you do) but I somehow doubt that those alone will be enough to keep you watching for 12 episodes, especially now that you have become more critical.

I made it halfway through. I'm down with tits and thighs, but skill displays are real boner-killers.

Yeah, I made it half way, too. Look, it's not super awful by any means, but it isn't worthy of me sinking 5 hours of my precious life into, either. Buh-bye.

Yeah it could have been lightweight amusing, but...eh.
What was that anime about a guy who reincarnated as a dog and got adopted by the girl he was crushing on, and she turned out to have some kind of pet fetish? I doubt I'll remember the name of this one in a few years either. |

Episode 1
I dunno if I've eaten too much fruitcake lately or what, but I decided to go back and finish the episode and believe or not I think I'll stick with it for a while. If it starts to annoy me too much I'll flush it faster than Edjwald's stash when the cops knock on the door... anyway, the episode was the intro to Beheneko and Juggs McGee who apparently belongs to a tribe of big titty elves that J.R.R. Tolkien never envisioned, I'm sure. The fanservice is indeed creepy as it involves Aria petting, poking and prodding areas of Tama that she shouldn't, as well as Tama nesting betwixt her twin peaks. Well, it's not like I have any sense of shame left, so its all good. The local Adventurers Guild is run by a gay caricature who no doubt is going to set woke teeth on edge. The show's first villain has already been despatched, hopefully with his genitalia loped off, but it's unclear. Not sure why I'm watching more of a show that at best would probably get a 4/10 if I stuck with it to the bitter end, but the world is a mysterious place. |

Well, I do think that HiDive was smart to premiere this one well ahead of the Winter 2025 pack, and even smarter to keep it a secret until the last moment. Hunger is the best sauce, and there were a lot of us anime fans starving for some new anime yesterday.
I'm also rooting for HiDive to stay viable even though the bastards made several of my favorite anime just disappear off streaming like "Just Because" and the Chihayafuru 1 and 2 dubs which I really liked, and the bastards didn't even try to make them available to buy first. What's the point of creating exclusives and not making them available to buy if you're just going to turn around and dump them? All that said, in regards to this anime...eh.
Just to be clear, I may talk about coffee as if it's heroin, but "coffee" isn't a euphemism
Well, let's be honest, he never should have been spatched in the first place. Heeheehee Normally brain farts and typos would be off limits since I'm a master of them, but make fun of me for accidentally reposting will you? (No grudge too small, no amount of hypocrisy too large <-- family motto) |

Well, arktually, Edjie, old boy, despatch is not a typo, it's an alternative British spelling of dispatch and is perfectly correct. You can look it up. I suppose you would have realized that if you were a tad more... sophisticated... shall we say? *snooty sniff*. But yes, you are correct that HiDive was very smart in premiering this before the deluge.

If I look it up, I'll have to admit I was wrong. Weren't you paying attention to the hypocrisy part? (Signing off with all due dyspatch) |

Just curious: will you be posting your grovelling 10,000 word apology for having the temerity to think I'm capable of making a mistake here, or will you be mailing it to me? Hey, I'm easy either way.

I've read the first couple of volumes of the manga on this one, and so can assure you that, for better or worse, the racier elements never tone down. (Or at least they don't for a while.) The Aria/Tama relationship is cute enough (when not being perverted) to carry the series, but don't expect much of anything for overarching plot anytime soon.
