This was the announcement of the show for me. I could hardly believe it until I saw the title. Never did I expect Okami to return.

After so many years of leaving the company while trying to push a sequel to Capcom, Kamiys somehow did the impossible - he bring our furball Amaterasu back to the game.

Of all the announcements, this was by far the best and most surprising of the night. I can't wait to play more Okami

When the music started I just thought it was going to be a Ghost of Yotei trailer, but then Amaterasu showed up and I freaked. Such an amazing reveal for a game series I've always considered to be more on the niche side.

What a wonderful turn of events! I had always dreamed of seeing Okami with a bigger world to explore, and I am thinking that the new game will leverage new tech to have a massive world. The art style certainly looks cool, although I know it may change, I cannot wait for more information.

I sure hope the announcement gets more people to go buy the original. It quite famously didn't sell very well.

Yeah, back when it originally came out. Since then it got ported multiple times and the second HD port in particular actually made it to their Platinum Titles list. |

I know it is 100% conjecture rn but I was wondering if anyone had thoughts for what they might do? I think with how things left off having Ammy go between Nippon from the original and the celestial plane might be a possibility.
I would also love if they included the Okamiden kids in some way, I know that Okamiden is considered a spin-off and not exactly canon, but I'm so attached to them and would love to see them in the new game in some form!
I'm glad you got it! Thought it would be a bit too much to put the Wan in myself lol I have noticed there were lots of wolves lately and wondered if that was just a coincidence or if they are popular right now. |
