I don't know if it's a specific sickness or declining overall health coming to a head, but if it's the latter, Oda really should consider making OP a monthly series. I've read accounts of his schedule, and it doesn't sound sustainable, for anyone.
Why does an adventure series come at the cost of the author not being able to live like a regular person?

One Piece having frequent breaks is nothing new. The fact that we're getting this just a week after Oda went on a two week break AND we did have a chapter scheduled for this week meaning this is sudden is what I find so concerning about this. The insanity of how hard Oda works himself is well known and with Toriyama's passing still in the front of mind I'd be lying if I wasn't extra concerned for Oda's health. Hopefully it isn't anything too serious, but I'd doubt we'd find out if that wasn't the case so I can only pray that he is fine.

Imagine the trip he took to the live action set during the two week break has something to do with this.

Oda needs to go monthly and get more rest. The sooner OP ends the better it will be for his health.

I hope Oda takes better care of himself.

It is HIS choice that it is still ongoing. He HIMSELF said he could finish in two years. So don't phrase it like he is being forced to continue one piece.
