I don't know if it's a specific sickness or declining overall health coming to a head, but if it's the latter, Oda really should consider making OP a monthly series. I've read accounts of his schedule, and it doesn't sound sustainable, for anyone.
Why does an adventure series come at the cost of the author not being able to live like a regular person?

One Piece having frequent breaks is nothing new. The fact that we're getting this just a week after Oda went on a two week break AND we did have a chapter scheduled for this week meaning this is sudden is what I find so concerning about this. The insanity of how hard Oda works himself is well known and with Toriyama's passing still in the front of mind I'd be lying if I wasn't extra concerned for Oda's health. Hopefully it isn't anything too serious, but I'd doubt we'd find out if that wasn't the case so I can only pray that he is fine.

Imagine the trip he took to the live action set during the two week break has something to do with this.

Oda needs to go monthly and get more rest. The sooner OP ends the better it will be for his health.

I hope Oda takes better care of himself.

It is HIS choice that it is still ongoing. He HIMSELF said he could finish in two years. So don't phrase it like he is being forced to continue one piece.

We are steering toward 30 chapters being published this year. 31 at most. Last year featured 32 and was the lowest amount yet. Oda´s health is clearly getting worse by the year and he turns 50 in January. 30 chapters will be the new normal, especially if he wants to keep investing time into the live-action show. Add script work and designs for the movies, additional designs for games and whatnot, possible input into The One Piece, endless color pages and Jump or magazine covers he does by himself and you have the most overworked mangaka since Tezuka, who died at 60.
He won´t reach 70 no matter what, chain smokers with health issues rarely do, but Oda´s slave drivers need to step in at some point or he will die shortly after his manga concludes if that. He published the first prototype at age 21 and was hired by Jump at 17 or 18. Oda is actively making sure that working for Jump will be all he knows.
