Fantastic news. This show was such a surprise. The battles were fantastic, and the story was great. Episodes 10 and 11 got me to tear up. Episode 11 is the best directed thing I've seen in years. They managed to convey so much emotion without a single word. Can't wait for more. Can't believe this stupid-sexy-shota anime was so goddamn good.

I've yet to see today's last episode but the quality of this first season often impressed me, especially in those high-paced fights, keep going on with the S2.

Since Bandai Namco established their own training program at Bandai Namco Filmworks for animators, I expect more high-quality anime. I heard on NHK news channel that animators who worked on the SAND LAND anime came from that training program. I wonder if some of the newly graduated animators from that training program are going to Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab to become real animators, as the program allows that.

Once people can get over the way some of the characters dress (or don't dress) these show is very good. Easily some of the best animation we've seen this year!

Some would say that's a feature not a bug.

And some fun comes with the fact that they ditched straight adaptation of LN designs in favor for more superior in terms of art (and Tsumugi Akita sure not done it half-hearted with the amount of crazy animation, character expressions and funny skits), but also bit raunchier designs of manga.

I didn't get too far into this show because I immediately pegged it as OP protagonist curbstomps all his enemies in spectacular fashion with little to no effort.

I'm not saying that's bad it just isn't for me.

Ironically, the last part of the season had the enemy that took quite an effort to deal with in a fight that took multiple episodes - even if in the end it was pure curbstomping with spectacular fashion once MC has completely figured out how to deal with him.

But yeah, if people not gonna like OP protagonists (though even if we discard MC himself his "party" are also can give quite the punch, like the insanely strong swordswoman pure shotacon maid that also got a lot of cool moments), the story itself is a bit in the middle and works mostly as guilty pleasure title, though it's not utterly bad at all and have some good stuff and character development moments.

Great to see. While I haven't watched the last ep yet, this turned out to be a lot of fun. No thanks in small part to the crazy lead Laughing

This was one of those anime’s that I didn’t think I would enjoy as it as much as I did, happy that S2 is officially happening!

I was quite enjoying this until it turned into a shonen battle anime.
