Sounds kinda violent for D+. But I guess if they're pinning their hopes on Echo and Deadpool & Wolverine...

International D+ is waaaay different than American D+…they’ve streamed way worse stuff than this.

Disney+ already streams Summertime Rendering and Tengoku Tengoku Daimakyou which probably are as violent as it can get. Let's not forget the sex dolls in Black Rock Shooter.

The wording on the website is a bit strange. It basically says, "Unlimited Viewing on Disney+ of all Episodes." whether it's weekly of following the broadcast, we'll have to see.

One of the first things I watched on D+ was Conan the Barbarian. Times have changed, lol.

Anyway, the show sounds fun. I cancelled my subscription a few weeks ago for personal reasons though so I can't watch the whole thing on there (It expires in late July, so yeah).

Seriously though, Disney+!?

Though I hope this doesn't negatively effect it's streaming release.

(Updated post) This has been clarified now. All episodes of the anime will be available to stream all at once on Disney+ worldwide exclusively, starting on April 7 after the first episode airs on TV in Japan. (https://twitter.com/DisneyPlusJP/status/1761903905750024375)

Awesome, so it's the same as Sentai Daishikkaku too.

Nice cast, would have liked a budget of course.
The manga´s realistic murders aren´t really worth talking about but both series have a strong focus on rape and forced prostitution due to the mafia setting. You can work around that and they will. Still not the hardest-edged D+ show even if it was adapted page by page.

I wonder if it will show on the base Disney+ version in the states? Other places have that Star sub-brand but because we THINK OF THE CHILDREN in the states, we normally use Hulu for stuff like this.

Anyway, im jazzed because I loved reading this manga on my morning commute in Japan years ago. Though I am surprised it got an adaption, gritty stuff like this not something that gets adapted much these days.

Based on Reuben Lack retweeting only the trailer for Loser Ranger, it seems likely that they'll only dub it for being high-profile.

The Kodansha license thing only applies if they hold the overseas license rights. I've seen this mentioned a few times. It just depends on how the production committee is set up. Also, some of the these recent Kodansha shows have Crunchyroll (or Aniplex, who usually has the most control of their shows) in the PC, so there's that too...

A recent example of the latter is Shangri-la Frontier, which CR is also a member of the committee.
