Perhaps this means that we will see a third game someday.

Wooooow, I usually play with the JP voices on and that is not a fun trailer to listen to....
That aside this is actually a really fun game for folks that like Monster Hunter and Pokemon. It's one of the few games in the Monster Hunter series that puts a focus on the worldbuilding and story as well, so even though the cat mascot character looks annoying, weirdly in the JP 3DS version he kind of comes off more as a "my lazy, drunk uncle is freeloading on our couch" sort of character. I'll definitely continue to be avoiding the ENG voices it seems. The western releases were actually missing some content post-launch. If the new version has all of that added in (I'm expecting the Zelda extras to be cut though) I would still be inclined to start fresh since it is a very solid open-world not-Pokemon game in a time when Pokemon is feeling like a shambling zombie with its technical quality as of late. |

That’s intresting this gets a PC port since the 2nd already was ported there (with a game crippling bug that still hasn’t been fixed).

Oh wow! This could have even more implications for Amiibo, on the heels of the last announced Amiibo figure releasing just this past Friday!
Nintendo has just restocked many Amiibo not restocked in a very long time, unannounced, via its U.S. and U.K. Nintendo Store websites! Between that story and this story there is some hope that the Stories Amiibo only released in Japan previously could see release in the west too! The Navirou Amiibo has particularly been even rare to import and has always seen higher prices than the other four from that series. Oh, Nintendo, while this is still only an implication, how you are sometimes so spontaneous makes it exciting nonetheless! |

I wonder if they’re keeping the FUNimation dub cast? The cat sounds very different.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 didn't use the dub cast, so I assume this one doesn't either. In some cases, by what I mean pretty much just the aforementioned cat, that's kind of a blessing. |

As in a Monster Hunter Stories 3? If so, yeah, there might be one.
If I may ask, why do you dislike the English voices?
Maybe they could retain the Zelda extras as a Switch version exclusive.
It sounds like they're using the dub cast from MHS 2: https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/video-games/Monster-Hunter-Stories-2-Wings-of-Ruin/ |
