To play this game from scratch and unlock everything, you will need:
1) $30 to buy the game
2) $80 for a yearly PS Plus subscription
3) $6 every 5 weeks for each battle pass, or $60 total for the year
4) Immense amounts of time to unlock everything in the battle pass or risk losing what you didn't earn in 5 weeks
If you have a PS Plus sub already, and/or you couldn't care less about the battle pass, this might be worth it... but it's just completely out of my price range. I was more hyped up for this game than any other this past year, but this completely barrs me from being able to play. God, I hate battle passes so much... They even feel like more work than fun because I'm too stressed trying to unlock everything before it's gone.

As someone whose played a few of these games there’s going to be numerous periods (if the game even lasts that long) where the battle pass is going to have not spectacular stuff in it that’ll make skipping it easy.

I wont atrribute the PS Plus fee to them since that's just the general issue of consoles requiring pay to go online now.
But yes, my general rule of thumb is any game with a battle pass I steer clear away from. Even if you can unlock stuff without paying, that's just a method to get you to sink time and make a habit out of their game. Not really interested enough in something like Street Fighter 6 or whatever to do that. I'm fine sticking with 2 Turbo or 3rd Strike.

Isn’t this one of the PS Plus Monthly games? So if you already have Plus, why would you be buying it for $30?
