I figured there’d be some sort of new series announcement with Synergy SP handling (some in this case) animation since the Ten Count movie was just announced as cancelled.
“I’m not bitter. I’m mad as hell!” (Kudos to you if you know what movie this is from).

Few things I can gather from the trailer:
1) The goddess may or may not be a jerk, based on her smile.
2) The classmates, at least those shown on screen, minus that one girl, are positively jerkasses. Again, from their smiles alone.

This is actually one of the better isekai stories, maybe the best one in this particular "type" of mold where the goddess rejects the protagonist to set them on a different course.

The synopsis is almost literary copy pasted from arifureira and there was already another title announced for an anime like this just days ago.

How is this different from Arifureta in any meaningful way?

Arifureta is a harem party, Failure Frame isn't that's the biggest difference for me as a reader.

I can unironically say that how good the Seras visual is will be a major indicator of how well done the anime will be. How can we believe that her beauty induces madness in so many of the male side characters if she isn't breathtaking. That's one thing the LN art does better than the manga art, though I think the manga is overall a decent adaptation

My first thought was the same as others: Arifureta 2.0, but the jerk goddess sounds like a borrow from Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy.
I wonder if this will be a "spot the borrowed elements (or at least inspiration)" anime?

There are plenty of ways it differs in the details but whether any of that is meaningful depends on who is asking. As someone that still reads their fair share of isekai, it's usually those details that pull me in or push me away. Case in point, I thought Arifureta fell off a cliff after the first volume and found Hajime insufferable. If memory serves I dropped in exasperation at around the third volume.
This series isn't some hidden masterpiece by any means, but I'm still enjoying it.

So this is like Arifureta in the sense that a character gets Isekai'ed, dismissed for their "weak" skill, and gets stuck in a doom scenario where they somehow survive and become OP...and also there was like only one girl in his class who actually cared about him.
I guess also the Main Heroine is blonde, though she's not in the teaser and looks like a busty elf with a great figure instead of a vampire loli.
Also Tsukimichi because the main antagonist is an arrogant Goddess.
It sounds like the MC is Ryota Suzuki and the Goddess is Ami Koshimizu?

As others have said, Arifureta is more of a harem/power fantasy. MC in this isn’t nearly as insufferable either, and kind of ends up as an ainz ooal gown/Cid Kagenou figure in the universe after what happens to him. Obviously these isekai adaptions live and die by the competency behind them, so whether or not this ends up being yet another lazy isekai adaption for the trash bin is anyone’s guess.

As strange as it might sound the biggest difference between Arifureta and Failure Frame is the tone. Failure Frame is much darker than Arifureta is. Also depending on what you consider more busted (powerful alchemical creation abilities vs being able to instantly inflict every debuff under the sun) the protagonist of Failure Frame is much stronger than Hajime is.
