I'm genuinely shocked that this is getting remade at all, although I like the show myself quite a bit. I suppose it must have done incredibly well in China to warrant a remake specifically for their audience.

Can anyone extract the image from the moca news article using python for me please? I don't have any more energy trying to get the high quality image from the site with its JavaScript right-click-save-blockers and I don't want to install python for one image.

I am curious if this is a remake or a complete reimagining, or even a sequel the stained glass in the background looks like Lunlun and Togenishia from the original show but the two girls in front are new, so I am wondering if descendants or protégés?

Here you go. I didn't want to boot up Python and figure out how to use it for that either, so I figured out how "Save all as HAR with content" worked in the Network tab in DevTools and tinkered with the Base64 to reconstruct a local copy. |

Dang you beat me to it. I dug around Network tools and cURL; turns out it was as simple as going to Application tab > Frames > top > images and downloading the largest file. |

Ha, okay, that's simpler than what I was doing. I've never poked around that tab. |

Really confused as to why people are using the word remake for this. Seems pretty clear that it's two new girls taking up the mantle of Lunlun and Togenishia. But now I'm watching the original show to get ready no matter what it really is

I'm assuming this will be a loose/standalone sequel like the second Mahoutsukai Sally TV series or New Cutey Honey.
I hope this means Toei is looking to revive some of their older magical girl series. I'd love a modern retelling of Majokko Megu-chan or Mahou no Mako-chan. |

The original Lunlun anime was somewhat popular here in Latin Amérca, I wasn't born yet when the dub version premiered, but I think they used to rerun it in some countries in the late 90s, the last time it was rerun was in 2014. Also, for some reason the show was named "Ángel, la niña de las flores" (Ángel, the flower girl). I wonder if Toei and Tencent will consider distribute this new version in Latin America and Europe

I am leaning towards it will be a reimagining with very different content but some nods to the original here and there, but nothing too substantial. |
