It'll be interesting to see Do Retry actually manages to survive & succeed in any way, because boxing is definitely a subject that Jump isn't exactly known for, but has seen its share of notable successes with, in the past. There was Ring ni Kakero by Masami Kurumada in the late 70s/early 80s, which is now known as the "Hot-Blooded Fighting Manga Bible" (Shueisha's own words, not mine) & was the first Jump manga to have its final chapter be given special treatment (lead its issue, had full-color opening pages, & the remainder of pages were all colorized to some extent). Then there was Kami-sama wa Southpaw by Shinji Imaizumi during the late 80s, which wasn't anywhere near as big as RnK was but still wound up being successful in its own right. Finally, there was Rokudenashi Blues by Masanori Morita, which ran from the late 80s to the late 90s for 42 volumes, but was only tangentially related to boxing & was really a delinquent manga.
Here's hoping that Do Retry can at least manage to equal Kami-sama wa Southpaw, in that regard, i.e. roughly two years & moderate success.

I love how vague manga synopsis are. Yes the art shows it's about boxing but that summary couldn't be more nebulous lol.

I really hated Bone Collection, but I'm honestly willing to give the author another chance because the concept for this one is interesting.
